5 simple baked goodies to make now

I’m not a big cook – shocker. Jamin actually handles the baking and meal prep for our family, and I am grateful to have a partner in crime who enjoys it. But I do have a few family faves that I bake, and they’re always a crowd-pleaser. I thought today would be perfect timing to share a few of my faves… because if I’m sharing them, then they have to be easy. ‘Tis the season for last minute party prep + family gatherings, after all. How is it almost Christmas??? Bonus: these double as thoughtful gifts if you’re looking to make something!

1. The Best Sugar Cookie Recipe This sugar Cookie Recipe. We’ve made it so many times over the years that we have about fifty different takes, at this point. These can easily be altered to fit any holiday, and we adore the fun sprinkles look here!

Christmas version: If you want some easy cookies to decorate for Christmas, these are it! Same recipe. You only have to change up your cookie cutters and a few icing colors.

And if you want the stained glass version, check it out here as well.

Also adaptable for the fourth, but I’m I’ll calm down now.

2. Easy Cranberry Brie Bites
I whipped these up again for my oldest’s Friendsgiving when he was home for Thanksgiving. They were a hit and oh-so-easy. Just a few ingredients and very little prep!

3. Homemade Bread
This recipe is so easy, and I make it all the time. We have two versions: Regular homemade bread {outrageously yummy fresh out of the oven with honey butter} + cinnamon bread + icing. They both win. You don’t need a fancy bread maker, and you only need to know a few days in advance so that it has time to sit before baking. But this recipe couldn’t be easier.

4. Easy Cake Mix Cookies

Seriously, all you need are a few ingredients, and they taste very homemade. From red velvet to traditional chocolate chip and even lemon… You can add so many different versions + toppings that make it so good! Just pick a cake flavor.

Bonus: because I shared all the cookie recipes today: this cowboy cookies recipe.

5. Sweet + Savory Charcuterie Board

This doesn’t even involve cooking. This one is a total copout. But if you need some simple ideas for the holidays, check out this entire post for even more good charcuterie ideas where all our friends linked up, too.

And for more recipe ideas that we love for the holidays that are a little more in-depth {aka Jamin made these + they don’t involve turkey + stuffing or casseroles… check these out!

What are some of your favorite, easy treats to make? We’d love to hear. Have an inspired day!
