We’ve taken on some pretty exciting projects in the last few years for our amazing clients. For that, we are ever so grateful and always thrilled to tackle something new. When it comes down to what really carries a project from good to great, it all comes down to detail. And as far as detail, tile is always important. While backsplashes are absolutely lovely, it made sense to show a few of the unexpected ways we adore bringing in a real statement in our designs with tile. Whether in the main kitchen, a basement, cabana or more… sometimes people forget about the bar. And it’s fun to see how many ways we can apply it, too. Braver backsplashes are always a hit, as well as underneath. So keep a bolder application in mind for your next project. You never know when a little hit of something will take it to the next level.

I love fireplaces so much, we have three of them in our own home. While one is brick, the finer details really came down to my favorite tile. Sometimes prettier patterns you’ll never tire of in the most gorgeous of applications are something to definitely consider. We love a good tile installation to really make that piece a true anchor of the space.
These two are nearly back to back when it comes to our house layout, and serve two entirely different purposes. But we love how they work together by gently repeating throughout our home. Pssst… see how to hide your TV here!

It’s definitely the easiest ways to go bold whether it’s over the top, or subtle. While not everyone has their very own pool house…
We do love a smaller application. It can even be subtle to make a bold statement, like a full wall here, as well. It all comes down to the details for what makes a space truly great. It’s always good to pay attention to those opportunities.
Check out this ADA bath here – keeping the space open was imperative for our sweet client. 
Sometimes, spaces don’t have a natural breaking point when it comes to knee walls and backsplashes. So, going the extra mile with an entire wall can really make a space feel so much more interesting.

A quick shot with our old flooring here, we loved styling this staircase for a quick book shoot. {Sometimes, our home is a living photo studio.} Indoors or out, an application on risers and more can add such an unexpected statement. See the entire story of our house here.

This one seems basic enough. But people tend to shy away from more options when it comes to such a permanent choice. We say that when executed the right way, it can have a timeless feel that gives it such a fun vibe.

And a client space here! This pattern really brought all their colors together in such a great way.

Smaller Accents for Big Impact! We love the way these planters in our own home echo the bar in the cabana {as shown above!} but this is the perfect project for anyone who’s a little hesitant to make a big commitment. And a great idea for the warmer months.
