colors we’ll never tire of

A sweet follower reached out to me the other day, asking if I knew the color of this nursery. She wanted to use it for her nursery, as she is expecting, and loves that yellow color. It was one of those situations where I thought I knew it, but had to dig a little to confirm. I was so glad when I found it, and it got me thinking… I still truly ADORE this color. We kept Malone a surprise all the way and it was the perfect tone for both. Even when we converted our youngest’s nursery into the boys’ shared area, it remained a favorite, and we continued to live with it for years. So, of course I fell down the rabbit hole, and I thought I’d do a little round-up of colors we’ll never tire of!

{I have to have a better photo of his nursery somewhere, but for now, this low-quality one will do.} Below is probably a truer representation of the color, for no other reason other than a. I improved at photography and b. The greens here brought out different tones in the paint.
This one is Behr’s Soft Buttercup.

Nurture Green is still one of my top faves. We repeated this color in our pool room, as well. It’s a really fun green that tends to change with the light, and makes a great addition to a space that needs a little character.

Sherwin Williams Tidewater Blue for all our upstairs ceiling colors + hallway bathroom + the pool room ceiling, too.

Because the ceiling in our cabana never gets old:
Blushing – that pretty light pink color you see
Breaktime – for the blue stripes and other touches
Convivial Yellow – that soft yellow on the ceiling – which tied in nicely with the rest

Seaworthy – the color of our back doors.

SW Riverway in our youngests’ space + our closets – for an earthier blue.

You’ll probably notice that we tend to use different colors and repeat them in various ways, as seen in this wallpaper for our bathroom.

Another Throwback alert: Benjamin Moore’s Cotton Candy {We paired it with Tangerine Melt} – the sweetest pink.

She loved her old room so much, you can see echoes of it now.

Read all about how we did this here – but this blue color is Kilz Estuary

Barn doors: Sherwin Williams Oceanside for these double doors.

And for a dose of that neutral – SW Egret white – a nice warm tone we have all throughout our house. Perfect for mixing with well… ALL the colors.

And Bungalow Beige for our bookshelves, doors and more.

And… Aviatrix for our side door. It adds just the right touch of contrast with the rest of our home details!

These are just a few that we have loved {and lived with!} for years.
What are some of your faves? We’d love to hear.
Have an inspired day!
