One of my favorite summer flowers is lavender. I know people either hate or love the smell, I just adore it. I sat down a while ago and painted lavender bouquets in acrylic paint and this was one of the paintings I made. I wanted to share it with you today as a Free Basket of Lavender Art Printable. It  has some great texture to it, and would be so pretty as an addition to your summer decorating or crafting.

I printed a copy on matte card stock and popped it in a vintage frame. It looks o cute when paired up with a rooted plant in a vintage bottle and a little stone bird. You might find your printer prints it out a little bit different than the color on the screen and you may want to tweak it a little by brightening it and saturating the image a little before printing.

It was really fun to paint this mixed-media acrylic painting quite  a few years ago.  At first it was painted with a black undercoating, and  thena layer of texture medium on top of that. Over that, a sage colored paint was layered and left to dry. Once all of the base layers of  paint were dry, then the detail of the basket and the lavender were placed on top and then a little yellow ochre for aging. It still remains one of my favorites and it was so relaxing to paint!  I thought it would be the perfect piece to either print out and add to your mantel or use in your own mixed media piece. I’ve also made a few different sizes of the Free Basket of Lavender Art Printable that you can choose between and they all fit on a regular peace of printer paper.  This way if you want to make gift tags or place the lavender images in a smaller frame you can do that as well! With this resolution, an 8 x10 us about the biggest it would be able to print out without being blurry.
