If you guys have stopped by lately, you know we have quite a few projects that are keeping us busy as of late. We’ve been working on this house slowly but surely, and while Project War Eagle is a great example of what happens when you start again from the foundation, this project, the Lundy Pass House, is an excellent example of what’s possible when you change a few things within. It’s turned a little bit into an “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” situation, but we are absolutely loving the results. Today, we’re sharing the Primary Suite Reveal!

Here’s where their space was before. It was a cozy room, but these sweet clients were definitely looking for more of an escape in their space. So give them an escape, we did!

We changed their floors to white Oak, and color-saturated the room, adding this lovely trim. And it’s insane what taking your curtains to the ceiling can do: We added a combination of sheers for daytime privacy with these beautiful linen additions.

One of the things that I love the most about this entire project {you can see more of what’s going on in the entire house, here – it’s crazy what the “small” transformations are doing for their spaces} is that we’re keeping what IS working for them. In this instance, their headboard + nightstands are working for them, so we built off of that.

This large, vintage art is so lovely above their bed + their layered bedding is so inviting and soft.

Before, their piece here was perfectly functional. But they mentioned looking for an armoire of some sort to hold their TV.

We designed this bookshelf to add warmth and storage, along with drawer space, in their room. The added fireplace is such a fun, cozy touch. We loved bringing in some gorgeous tile for that surround, for a soft, subtle accent. And the details in those pulls are like jewelry to a great outfit with the help of D Lawless Hardware!

The sunlight was a little tricky that day, but I’m so glad I was able to capture these details! A major player in the entire home renovation is that they replaced all their old windows with new Window World Windows! It’s a real game changer throughout each space, now that the windows are so striking and beautiful {not to mention wonderfully energy efficient}.

We actually upcycled these lamps from their living room, and I love the height they brought to the space.
I adore this glimpse of the room when walking in.

The layered bedding is perfect for all things retreat.
We combined: this comforter + quilt + lumbar pillow + floral pillows

He plays the guitar and offered to move it for the photo. I told him to leave it right where it was. Helping sweet clients who are oh so deserving of a retreat of their own is probably the most rewarding part of this job for us. I think you can see why. I love this view, and that they have a space of their own now. This entire room is really perfect for the changing season, especially with that fireplace.

Kind of high-key obsessed with this bench + rug combo. They come in multiple color combinations + really brought a depth to the space.
Bench from here + this beautiful rug. I loved topping it off with this throw for some deeper color, too! {Pillows from here + here.}

Here’s another glimpse of that before…

And the after… so soothing now!
When clients need a ceiling fan, Kichler is my forever go-to. They offer gorgeous, streamlined designs, that honestly make me like ceiling fans. I tend to resent them for their necessity and the fact that they’re usually kind of ugly. NotKichler. I adore this modern look with a clean, easy design to work efficiently in any space!

Clearly, I love this wall. It’s just beautiful.

We hope every day feels like a vacation in this space!

In the bathroom… they were ready for a glow up, as well!

So glow up, we did.

Honestly, I can’t believe this is the same space… and we’re the ones who put it together.
Their shower was a little limiting, especially for a primary bath. They also never used their tub. So our solution was to flip the shower for more space, and let the opening to the left become a part of the cabinetry.

Their vanity was definitely circa 1980-something… and way too low. Though our client really wanted to save these shell sinks {kidding} we were glad to offer another option.
So we brought in a custom vanity in this gorgeous white oak, along with these amazing backlit mirrors from Kichler, and these beautiful vanity lights. We love how the pairing brought height and character to the space. If you’ve ever gotten ready with a backlit mirror, you probably know there’s no goign back after that. Think of the ring lights people film with, and how they evenly illuminate the entire face. Super flattering and easy, they also make great night lights!
Not to mention, these floors are kind of swoon-worthy.

Another big change was bringing in new doors and fresh paint. The angles in their house were a bit challenging to work with, so we added a pocket door to their closet {below} for a fresh look and love the updated vibe it brought to the space with the fresh changes.

The hardware from D.Lawless is a beautiful touch.

This extra storage and bench area in their space is a sweet change, as well. We love that the space underneath can be used as a makeshift hamper.

For a spot of beauty in this toilet space, we added gorgeous wallpaper. We love the way all these colors have come together. They really do have their own daily escape here.

But this brings us to the shower. That tile is chef’s kiss perfection.
Also, notice that new Window World window? It came with a privacy screen so that it could be in the middle of their shower. It definitely provides plenty of daylight – essential for a space where you’re getting ready daily!

We love that our clients aren’t afraid of color. This soft green really sets the mood.

I love the glimpse of that ceiling above with the rainhead shower head, and the transition below with all the tile coming together! Such classic lines.

Okay, enough drooling over the tile. I’m done now. Or am I?

So fresh and clean.

Another big change was removing all the boob lights throughout. This Kichler Light brought so much simple character to their space, for a touch of elegance.

The countertops were another elegant touch. They brought in this beautiful custom stone to top off that vanity. I adore natural stones since they’re something that are actually from the earth. Classic and timeless.

Here’s another glimpse into that toilet room again. We love how all of these elements came together to create one delightful escape for this sweet couple.

Thanks for coming to our little tour today, and all the sweet details that came with it. What are some of your favorite elements? We’d love to hear. Let us know if you have any questions. Have an inspired day!
