After years of “make our own nut milk” being on our “to-do list” we finally did it!
Our nut milk journey finally got the jump start we needed after we ordered this blender for our Christmas gift.

And since knew we had a trusted recipe from my daughter Kylee (who makes everything taste good) we were ready to begin.
Even though I call it our nut milk recipe, it’s all thanks to her and her experimentation! :).
This one is a cashew pecan milk.

It’s thick and rich (but you can easily dilute it with filtered water if you want to make it go further or desire a thinner consistency).
I love it in my coffee! It’s so good.
If you’re new to nut milks or any alternative milk it might take getting used to but it’s better than any pre-made milks I’ve had (plus it is organic and doesn’t have seed oils in it).
I’ll share how to make it below.

Here’s what you need (we use all organic ingredients–I’d suggest getting the nuts at Costco!):
3/4 cup raw cashews
1/4 cup raw pecans
4 cups filtered water
4 dates (our dates were huge so we used 2-3)
pinch of sea salt
splash of vanilla to taste
Blend in a high powdered blender on high until smooth (at least a minute!)

Mmm, delicious!
We just ordered new glass bottles. The one we had was from years ago when I thought I was going to get into making oat milk. We wanted a couple of extras so these glass bottles seem to be just what I need (and they come with airtight lids and a silicone spout, too).
Enjoy!
