outdoor project inspiration for fall

We’ve been taking advantage of the cooler weather and our neglected yard to get outside and get some things done before the cold weather actually settles in. Now is the season to tackle some things that I’ve been meaning to get around to, and I thought a little inspiration {we have big construction projects and some small weekend crafts because we love diversity!} might be in order. If any of you are in the same {perpetual procrastination because your life is currently just too overwhelming} state that I’m in… we have some fun inspiration for you. Because it’s actually the best time of year: Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall!

1. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: The Handmade Hideaway
Is it even fall if I didn’t start with this? Just in time for Christmas, it’s all things handmade hideaway. Here we have the ultimate treehouse guide, with the original, second, and all the other versions our amazing readers cooked up once upon a time. This includes step-by-step instructions, building lists, and so much more. Be sure to check it out for a little inspiration if you’ve been meaning to build one!

2. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: The Cheater’s Guide to an Easy Fall Porch
Since things escalated so quickly, here are some fun ideas to refresh your fall porch. Just in case you’re not feeling like tackling something like a real builder just yet. I know I’m not… and I’ve already built it. Now it’s time for me to tackle this yard…

3. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Stained Glass Candle Holders
And yes, this is another cheater’s guide. While I am taking on another real-life stained glass project right now, here’s one anyone can do!

We still use these in our cabana. Which brings me to…

4. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Build a Cabana
It may seem like the antithesis of fall, especially if you have a pool. But now is the perfect time to build something like this if you’re ready to spruce up the outdoors for entertaining! We’ve got all the fun details here, and we hope they’ll help spark your inspiration and fuel your energy. Or something.

5. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: These Easy DIY Succulent Shelves
This is a great project to take on to save your plants in stacking mode for the winter. While I’d love a greenhouse, that’s not in the cards for me right now, and these have served me well. I have another set up coming your way for all the plant moms out there, and can’t wait to share. These would be perfect for a smaller space, or a full-time display of smaller plants.

6. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Build a Planter Box
See how to build a planter box and add appeal to your yard space here!

7. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Build a Deck
We love the idea of making our yard feel like an escape. We added this deck with Yellawood, here!

8. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: How to Build a Fence

9. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: A Poolside Cart Makeover
And you don’t even need a pool to take on a simple afternoon project like this, but we do love a good repurposed project that can work hard and hold all the things. Yes, we were super posed for this photo. No, I have no idea what we’re looking at.

10. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Build a Privacy Wall
If you have a larger yard or even a smaller area, this patio expansion is definitely worth it with a privacy wall. Check out all the details here

11. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: This Simple Candle Holder

12. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: How to Install a Firepit + Patio
If ever there were a project for fall, this is certainly it. We have never enjoyed something so much again {besides the pool} with our kids, as we did this, once it was finished. This is actually our old house, and we’d still love to add one here.

13. Outdoor Project Inspiration for Fall: Curb Appeal
This includes a diy trellis with Yellawood + this fun walkway with Glengery Bricks!
