Spring is officially here, and I felt that familiar itch to freshen up the house! A little spring cleaning, puttering, and simple joys that make a new season feel special.

My daughter and grandson came over on the first day of spring, and we spent the day doing it all together. It started as a rather gray, rainy afternoon, but somewhere in the middle of our puttering, the weather shifted. The clouds parted, the sun streamed through the windows, and just like that, it felt like spring had arrived right before our eyes! The sun made us so happy!

I find so many of my favorite timeless pieces from Wayfair. They make it so easy to blend the timeless look I love every day with classic seasonal pieces that make our home more memorable (this especially makes me happy with little ones around again!).

A Simple Floral Idea for the Season
One of my favorite seasonal traditions is switching out what I display in my rattan planter. Over the past year or so I’ve styled it many different ways, but this time we decided to fill it with fresh flowers.
We found the prettiest garden roses and a few other blooms at the grocery store and made our own arrangements. We simply used a few drinking glasses tucked inside the planter, trimmed the stems, and arranged them from there.

It turned out so charming! You might want to pin this idea, I think it would make the sweetest centerpiece for any spring gathering or Easter table.

A Few Easter Touches
We filled little bowls with early Easter candy (we had to taste-test it to make sure it was all good before we serve it to guests for Easter gatherings, right?).
I love these little bowls (this footed bowl, and this basket bowl) for everything from plants, to candies to seashells and more.

This blue and white basket-style bowl instantly reminded me of a classic Easter basket so I filled it with colorful sweets. The footed bowl is holding my personal favorite…chocolate peanut butter cups.
My floral bunny made its return this week after being tucked away since last spring. (Yes, I have a thing for bunnies if you couldn’t tell. 🙂 Maybe someday I need to do a bunny tour of every bunny in my house, ha!)

The green and white bunny dishes might be one of my favorite finds this season. They each have different bunny designs which makes them feel extra special.

I’ve been displaying a few on plate stands in the dish rack, and they’re just as lovely for everyday use as they are for styling and gatherings.

We even sipped lattes from the bunny mugs while we puttered—they’re the coziest shape and size. Perfect to hold in your hand and I love the ruffled bottom so much. I know I’ll want to reach for these every morning this spring.

The plates and bowls are also just so cute. The plate edges are scalloped and the bowls have the footed scalloped base. LOVE the shape of the bowls so much.

Little Spring Shifts Around the Kitchen
I’ve been moving a few things around to welcome the arrival of spring in simple ways.
I brought my cobalt blue scalloped lamp back into the kitchen from another room. It’s one of those pieces I love to move around the house—it seems to work everywhere.
I also swapped my café curtains for a striped pair I’ve used in seasons past. It’s such an easy change, but it makes the whole kitchen feel fresh again.
The cute striped crocks have been in use constantly since I got them for utensils and flowers. They come in other colors, too.

On the counter, my drip coffee maker sits on a pretty botanical cork placemat. These are heat resistant so we use them under our toaster, too.

My blue stove (lovingly named Beatrix) is ready for spring baking. Lemon bars are at the top of my list. What do you love to bake this time of year?

Bringing in Spring Color
The floral rug is back in the dining room, and while I truly love it year-round, it feels especially at home here in spring. Sometimes I’m a more subtle neutral gal, but particularly after a long winter I’m reminded that brighter pops of colors and patterns make me SO HAPPY! They bring the house to life, too.
I’ve also been enjoying little pops of green throughout the house—cabbage platters, green and white dishes in the rack, and a mix of vessels used as both crocks and vases. Even the smallest touches change the mood.

My bunny pitcher (multiple color options) is beautiful even sitting empty, but filled with flowers, it is the perfect container to bring SPRING into the room!

I’m still loving my pretty ‘by the sink’ things…this red and white porcelain tray, and a botanical pitcher and crock to hold my hand soap and dish brushes. This set up works so well for washing dishes and keeping the kitchen counters clean. Plus it’s so pretty, too!
Happy Spring!
