Last year we ran a New Year, New Skill set of workshops in the Lisle studio and it was so popular that we decided to offer it again this year for our art and creative workshops! We have a wide arrangement of workshops including a vision board workshop, clay plaque making, crochet, mono-printing, knitting, acrylic painting, color pencils and more. One of the goals of the workshop series is to encourage not only creativity, but to try a. new art or craft skill that you maybe haven’t explored before. Our workshops are very beginner-friendly and we like to have a relaxed setting to learn in. All of the materials are provided so you can just show up as you are and start creating!

We kick off the new year with workshops to inspire and motivate! Painting the word of the year help for focus and a vision board helps start the new year off to identify big dreams and goals. You can find more on the workshops here.

After those workshops we head into projects to inspired creativity and explore different kinds of mediums like mono-printing with a gelli plate. Image transfer from prints and magazines is a fun way to play with mixed media and create one of a kind art like working with clay to create an inspirational plaques we can hang up all year as a reminder.

After the mono-printing workshops we then try our hands at handicrafts and art skills such as color pencil drawing and learning a new skill or renew your skills at knitting.

The following weekend we will try our hand at acrylic painting. Portraits can be hard and eyes can be the most difficult part. This 2 hours workshop will help with skill-building and painting more realistic looking eyes. On Saturday we’ll play with Junk journaling (which is a little like chaos journaling). No rules, just collage and create!

After that we go into our February workshops that also combine art and craft creativity. Find out more about our workshops here.
