Spring in the Entry (and a short story about a light switch)

Can you believe it’s finally April?

I didn’t get a photo of it, but a big ray of sunshine came streaming in our little entry this week. After a long winter I almost forget what it feels like to see so much sun filling a room. I was so surprised to see it, but it made me so happy.

I really don’t mind winter here, but the idea of being a few weeks away from walking out the door wearing a sweater instead of a coat and hat sounds wonderful!

Just noticed my mirror is crooked, ha. Real life! We actually and unfortunately have a LIGHT SWITCH behind this mirror! It’s awkwardly placed nearly in the middle of this wall.

In order to turn our front porch light on and off we have to swing the mirror to the side and shimmy our hand behind the mirror. Sometimes we remember to straighten the mirror afterwards, and but just as often we don’t.

It was annoying so I tried to get the switch moved during our renovation but for some reason they said it wasn’t possible, or wasn’t easy.

So leaving the mirror here to hide it was our solution. Ha!

But now we have to deal with a crooked mirror sometimes.

Anyone else have a poorly placed light switch?

Hope you have a blessed Easter!
