If you’ve followed along on Project War Eagle, you know it’s been quite the build and process! It’s been a while since we’ve checked in. You can see all the progress here: {sneak peek, demo days, demo update {because we took it to the foundation} + framing.} Then, we tackled new windows and doors! Today we’re sharing a little more progress. 

It’s been slow going without much fun stuff to share until recently, unless you’re fascinated by plumbing, electrical work, and permits. While interesting, there hasn’t been much visual progress to photograph. Then, with the weather and winter storms, it was best to hold off on the outside details a little. But we’re moving full speed again, and are super excited since we’re to the fun part! Here’s a little reminder of what we started with: 

And where we are now! I’m going to be jealous of them in the very best of ways when their house is complete. It’s looking incredible.

Here’s a sampling of the original flat lay with some examples of the details that are going into each space. We adore how fun this is going to be for them!

Because we’ve been working on this project for so long {thanks, septic} a few things have changed. But our clients have pivoted like good sports and are loving the changes, too!

We’re moving onto paint in the next phase and can’t wait to share since the house is going to change quickly from here! We love the brick colors and beautiful grey they selected, especially with those fabulous doors + windows!

Today, I’m going to share a little of this indoor progress, along with some before and after shots, so you can see how far it’s come!

Upon entering, this is the former view to the right. And here it is now, with the addition of higher ceilings just scratching the surface. This section of the house has been expanded into the former garage, with a new separate space to the right of the house for all things cars. This side also includes the mudroom, {she’s a vet and we can’t wait to show you this doggie shower!} pantry + study. 

This is the new view looking in from the front door. And once upon a time, this was all you could see looking in from the garage. 

And here’s the view now upon entering through their mud room. It’s so open and beautiful. 

This is a view of the kitchen before, which includes part of the garage in the space. Now it’s knocked through for a much clearer look. 

Here’s a head-on view of the kitchen, where you’ll find an island and so much more in the future. We can’t wait to share more as all of this comes together. 

The tile detail and countertops are going to be gorgeous!

This side is where the open shelving will be located. 

Opposite this side of the room is their study. 

Their new fireplace is going to be a key gathering area in the heart of the home. It has a sister fireplace on the other side, on their back porch outdoors. The porch also joins onto their study and primary bedroom. 

The mudroom and pantry sit on either side of the kitchen. This space, in particular, will hold lockers, cabinets, and a dog shower with built-in crates.  Here’s another glimpse of that before. It’s crazy what new ceiling heights can do. 

This side of the room is their dining area, and the hallway that leads to the rest of the house, with bedrooms and baths. 

But just one more look at this view. 

Here’s a quick glimpse at a few of the extra bedrooms. 

And one of their baths – located in the hallway. 

Their laundry has been located to the other side of the house, and along with the mudroom, it is going to be one of my faves. 

These elements are going to be so pretty!

Here’s a look at the primary bedroom space. These doors lead to the back porch, from the other side.  And a view of their old bathroom…With a glimpse at the new one. Wait until you see their closet! I can’t wait to share that one. It’s HUGE. 

And another glimpse of that bedroom with a view into the bath! And that brings us back to this view. It’s so fun to bring you this not-so-little update! We’ll be sharing more fresh projects coming up, and more of this one as well as it progresses… so stay tuned!
