Schneps Media will host a virtual educational webinar next month aimed at helping first-time buyers navigate the path to homeownership, with a special focus on opportunities in Florida.
The free one-hour presentation, titled “First-Time Homebuyer Educational Webinar — With a Florida Focus!,” is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m. and will be held online.
The session is designed for prospective buyers considering a move to Florida, as well as residents there who are weighing the benefits of buying instead of renting. Mortgage consultants from Emigrant Mortgage, a division of Emigrant Bank, will lead attendees through the key steps of preparing to purchase a first home.
Topics will include understanding the fundamentals of credit, preparing for the homebuying process, pre-approvals, navigating the mortgage process, and learning about loan programs and grants that can help with down payments and closing costs. Speakers will also discuss where to find assistance programs, how they work and how to qualify.
A Florida-based real estate professional will also share insights into the state’s housing market and what buyers can expect when searching for a home. The presentation will include guidance for both local buyers and those planning a relocation to the Sunshine State.
Featured speakers include Pamela Garcia, vice president and community lending officer for the Florida region; Judit Soler, community lending coordinator for the Florida region; and Juliann Giuffre, vice president and community lending officer for the New York region.
Closed captioning will be available through the webinar’s live transcript feature.
